The Chairchill by Helmut Palla Resembles a Woman Lying Down

This rustic contraption, titled ‘The Chairchill,’ may not be the most practical and comfortable thing you place your butt on, but its potential for fun discussion is undeniable. Designed by Helmut Palla, who’s known for creating extremely abstract furnishings, the Chairchill is a seemingly broken chair that’s been contorted in a manner that resembles a woman lying down in a seductive pose. If you don’t see it, you may need to exercise your imagination a little bit further.

It’s unknown whether Palla expects people to actually lay down on The Chairchill as it appears to be made out of wood that’s seen better days. It also requires quite a bit of living space, making it much more suited for art galleries rather than homes.
