The c.fold caravan is a foldable trailer concept developed with Dethleffs that aims to make caravan towing more practical for electric vehicles by improving aerodynamics and reducing drag. The design uses a lightweight structure with a low driving height of about 1.65 metres and a compact width of roughly 1.9 metres, helping the caravan sit closer to its tow vehicle’s profile on the road. At camp, the upper shell telescopically lifts to create around 1.9 metres of headroom inside, effectively doubling interior living space while maintaining a compact footprint for towing and storage. The concept seeks to balance performance on the road with habitat comfort once deployed.
