The captivating Centara Reserve Samui is an opulent retreat designed by the team at AvroKO. The hotel is located in Ko Samui, Thailand, and the new angle draws inspiration from the architectural heritage of the land it is on. Thus, the design nods to elements of its past which is seen through the application of traditional Thai wood carvings.
The designers that worked on this elevated the forms and patterning while also playing to the perception of weight across the entire retreat. When guests enter the retreat, they are met with an elevated pathway that leads them up to the lobby. This is adorned with water decor that is framed by a marble-stepped design around the tropical centerpiece.
