Character Bead Sofas

Cellutane Psyduck Chair Uses Bead Filling to Form a Seating Unit

The Cellutane Psyduck Chair is a large-scale bead sofa designed in collaboration with Pokémon, shaped to replicate the character Psyduck’s full body. The form includes details such as the rounded head, wide beak, hair tufts, and tail, creating a seating object that reads as both furniture and a character figure. The structure incorporates a backrest and armrests within the body, allowing users to sit supported while maintaining the overall silhouette.

The interior uses Cellutane’s proprietary “Sugobeads,” a blend of high-elasticity urethane foam and polystyrene beads that allows the seat to compress and adapt to the body while returning to its original shape. The unit weighs approximately 10 kilograms and is designed to be moved within a domestic setting. A removable outer cover is included for maintenance and can be machine-washed.
