The Quote Book by Salvatore Calabrese’s Velvet Bar is a celebrity-inspired cocktail menu that shares 21 all-new drinks based on famous figures from the 20th and 21st centuries. Each drink gets its name from a phrase by the icon who inspired it, including everyone from Lady Gaga and Nelson Mandela to Elon Musk and Greta Thunberg.

Thoughtful, bespoke drinkware is integral to the experience of each cocktail. “You taste with your eyes, nose, mouth and hands," says Calabrese, "Feeling the glass is important to the journey of the drink." A standout is the Last Dance cocktail, inspired by basketball legend Michael Jordan, which is served in a cup that uses 3D printing to mimic the feel of gripping a basketball. This riff on the classic whisky sour plays with all-American food ingredients like ketchup and maple, plus Aperol, Yellow Chartreuse and whisky.
