Feral Feline Photography

This Monochrome Cat Photography Series is Strikingly Haunting

With the recent cat phenomena taking over the Internet, it is about time that a serious and artistic depiction of these creatures surfaced just like this cat photography series.

Captured by Wisconsin-based photographer Jason Houge, this cat photography series focuses on feral cats that the photographer and his girlfriend have been feeding and caring for or cats from the their local humane society Cats Anonymous.

Feral cats are know for their rampant reproduction habits that cause issues to either the home, organization or area hosting these cats. β€œIt’s likely most people have heard stories of hoarders who live with hundreds of cats. It only takes two intact cats and two or three years to get to that point,” says Houge.

Houge states that there are even some populations where cats outnumber humans like the Japanese island of Tashirojima.
