Skiing is being revolutionized with technology thanks to Carv, the first wearable tech ski coach that measures everything about your run.
Electronic insoles are inserted into the boots and feed data into an app which in turn translates it into readable graphs. This data can be used to see exactly what you're doing wrong. For example, a common mistake is to lean too far back. With the device you will be able to spot this and change the bad habit. Additionally, a friend or ski instructor can record a video of the run and match it to the data.
The team behind Carv have been working in China to perfect the device and are now ready to raise money via Kickstarter on the 10th of February. The team says: "With Carv we feel like we’re really able to democratize the technology that’s currently only available to champion skiers – it is the first product of its kind to be available to beginners and pros alike."
