One of Holland’s famed cartoons, ’Gummbah,’ has been translated into a quirky knitwear collection by Gummbah and Chantal Rens.
The sweatshirts look a tiny bit geeky but could perhaps work if you want to crank a rather edgy comic-inspired look this winter. The clothing sports slogans from the latest ‘Gummbah’ book called “Meanwhile Between the Two Eternities of Darkness.”
It reminds me of a Snoopy-inspired knitwear collection produced by the cool Danish label Mads Nørgaard in collaboration with the artist Tal R. One of the jumpers was a replica of Charlie Brown’s jumper.
I say bring on the comic book fashion. I already know someone who would love to get her hands on a complete ‘Penelope Pit Stop’ outfit.
