In light of the school closures brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, Sesame Street has launched the Caring for Each Other initiative.
The Caring for Each Other initiative was launched by Sesame Street to support families during COVID-19 and help them find a new normal. As explained on the Sesame Street website, "our site is filled with content you can use all day long to spark playful learning, offer children comfort, and focus a bit on yourself, too." This includes free e-books, resources for parents, and kid-friendly programming. For instance, there's an online series called Snack Chat where the Cookie Monster teaches kids about proper hygiene and the importance of staying healthy in an approachable and fun way. The show will air every Tuesday on YouTube and Facebook.
