The Wikkelhouse is a modular cardboard abode that despite being made out of recycled paper, provides a sustainable home for consumers to reside in. The house is put together by a Dutch brand called Fiction Factory that provides a liveable space made from paper that has been sealed and made waterproof with a special coating to make the house fully functional in all sorts of climates.

While a paper house might sound more whimsical and far-fetched to be a functional space, the Wikkelhouse -- translated to mean 'wrapping house' -- is built to be long-lasting and strong in structure. The frame is made from cardboard with an exterior wooden panelling that protects the inside. The house sits above ground, offering a small cabin for consumers to live in.
