Anime-Inspired Vehicle Chargers

Plug Your Car in This Anime Electric Car Charging Station

Electric car owners and fans of the anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion will get a kick out of this electric car-charging station.

In the town of Hakone, Japan, located just outside of Tokyo a few car charging stations have been erected as part of an Eva campaign and environmental promotion. The charging stations are brightly colored with characters from the anime series prominently displayed. While only two are out at the moment, other Neon Genesis Evangelion electric car charging stations are expected to rolled out.

Unfortunately, this is unlikely to be a nationwide or global thing. Those familiar with the series already know that the reason the city of Hakone was chosen because the series is set in that city, though it is called Tokyo-3 in the show.
