ThinkWay is expanding its luggage line with the 'ThinkWay Pro,' a suitcase for travelers that uses built-in powered compression to create extra packing room. The system presses clothing down inside the case, allowing up to 50% more capacity, with space for as many as 12 puffer jackets. ThinkWay offers the suitcase in 20-inch and 24-inch sizes.
The larger version is sized for trips lasting up to 15 days, and one charge supports up to 15 compression cycles. That setup lets the same bag adjust to light packing at departure and a fuller return load without forcing travelers into a larger case.
Built-in compression turns luggage capacity into an active feature, not just a shell size. It moves suitcases toward a convergence of luggage and travel tech, where buyers weigh packable volume alongside size and mobility.

Why This Trend Is Growing
- Powered Packing Systems
- Motorized compression introduces a new layer of utility in luggage design, turning internal space management into a premium feature for frequent travelers.
- Adaptive Travel Capacity
- Suitcases that expand functionally without changing exterior dimensions create room for smarter baggage experiences tied to trip length, purchases, and return loads.
- Tech-integrated Luggage
- Embedded power features are shifting luggage from passive storage into connected travel equipment where convenience, capacity, and mobility converge.
Industries Being Reshaped
- Travel Gear
- Luggage brands have new room to differentiate through active space-saving mechanisms that address overpacking, souvenirs, and carry-on limitations.
- Consumer Electronics
- Battery-powered compression systems position travel accessories as an adjacent category for compact motors, controls, and portable power innovation.
- Air Travel
- Capacity-enhancing suitcases reflect changing passenger expectations around baggage efficiency as travelers seek more flexibility within airline size restrictions.
