Cross-Stitch Furniture

Charlotte Lancelot's Canevas Collection Has a Grandmother Vibe

The Canevas Collection may look like a large-scale art series centered around the embroidery technique known as cross-stitching, but it is in fact a line of furniture. Nevertheless, this crafty truth doesn't take away from the artistic value the pieces in this collection hold in the home. From floral carpets to pixelated poufs, the Canevas Collection will give living spaces a contemporary and cozy grandmother-like vibe.

Created Charlotte Lancelot, an industrial designer based in Brussels, Belgium, for Spanish manufacturer Gan-Rugs, the Canevas Collection is colorful, rustic and decidedly feminine. Nevertheless, if the floral rug was taken out of the equation, the couch, cushions and ottoman would suit a masculine environment nicely as well.

The Canevas Collection was presented during Salone Internazionale Del Mobile 2012 in Milan, Italy.
