The Canada Goose Project Atigi jackets have been unveiled as a line of outerwear created in collaboration with expert seamstresses from nine communities that are spread across four Intuit regions. The project saw the outerwear company provide the women with identical kits of materials that they transformed into modern interpretations of the traditional jackets worn by the Inuit people. This includes parkas, anoraks and amauti-style jackets for women, men and children that pay homage to the traditions of northern First Nations people.
The Canada Goose Project Atigi jackets will be available for purchase online in February will all sale proceeds going to benefit the Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami. This aspect, along with the one-of-a-kind styling, is sure to make the outerwear garments a coveted item.
