Cake-Centric Gatherings

Cake Picnic Turns a Shared Love of Cake into a Sweet Social Event

Cake is a universally loved treat, and Cake Picnic taps into its appeal to bring people together over a shared love of dessert and joyful indulgence. The premise is sweet and simple: show up with a cake, share slices, and make new friends with others who appreciate cake in all its forms, from jello cakes and trifles to upside-down cakes.

For the remainder of 2025, Cake Picnic is headed to Los Angeles, Minneapolis, and New York, and in 2026, the event is set to visit 15 global cities. “In my earliest daydreams of this event, it was a small and intimate picnic of maybe 15 new friends forming a circle at the park,” shared Cake Picnic creator Elisa Sunga, “I had no idea this would draw such a crowd and that everyone would share my dream so passionately.”
