Cabaret Poval—a modern Japanese fashion label, led by ex-Supreme Tokyo shop employee Yuya Tanaka—is turning heads with a new editorial that showcases the brand's offerings for the Fall/Winter 2020 season. The brand's name is a hint at Cabaret Voltaire, a cabaret with artistic and political purposes in Zürich, Switzerland.
As one might expect, the silhouettes are in tune with contemporary skater fashion. However, subtle elements hinting to Ivy League and sportswear capture the attention of streetwear connoisseurs, making for an unlikely combination of two very different styles. Cabaret Poval's Fall/Winter 2020 collection consists of various hoodies and crewneck sweatshirts, graphic tees, half-zip sweaters, light jackets, and so on. The pieces are ideal as stand-alone statements or can be layered for a more stylized look.
