Performance Electric Sedans

Mercedes-Benz Unveiled Its C400 4Matic

Mercedes-Benz unveiled the all-new electric C-Class, debuting the US-bound C400 4Matic as a performance-oriented luxury sedan featuring a 94.5-kWh battery and dual motors.

The model premiered at a world event in South Korea on April 20 and was announced for US deliveries in the first half of 2027. The C400 4Matic is built on a dedicated EV platform with a longer wheelbase, designed to increase interior space while adding a front trunk for extra cargo. Its reported output totals 482 horsepower and 590 lb-ft, supporting a 0–60 mph time of about 3.9 seconds and a WLTP-based range that projects strongly for the US cycle. Interior and tech choices include three dashboard configurations, up to a nearly 39-inch Hyperscreen, optional air suspension with predictive damping and rear-wheel steering, plus DC fast charging at up to 330 kW.

For buyers, the electric C-Class pairs sport-sedan dynamics with long-range practicality, reflecting a trend toward premium EVs that combine performance, aerodynamic efficiency and rapid charging to reduce range anxiety.
