The fans have spoken and Taco Bell has decided to officially bring the Butter Chicken Taco to the U.S.
Taco Bell recently hosted its first-ever Global Taco Vote, which asked fans to choose which of its internationally inspired tacos should come to the U.S. In the end, the India-inspired Butter Chicken Taco beat out the runner-up Thai Kickin’ Chicken Taco by scoring 64.65% of the vote. Thanks to this overwhelming demand, Taco Bell will release a new Butter Chicken Taco, which features shredded chicken that's been slow-roasted in a tomato cream-based sauce with warm spices, along with onion, cilantro, lettuce, and cheddar cheese, all wrapped up in a crispy chalupa shell.
The new Butter Chicken Taco will officially make its stateside debut at participating U.S. locations for a limited time later this year.
