Wendy Mullin is a truly modern, cutting-edge designer in every sense of the word. She has an intoxicating clothing label entitled Built by Wendy which recently launched a new Spring collection for men and women. The collection is stunning with its playful use of colour and most interestingly, shape. With a wide range of pieces, every skirt, top, pant, tee and tank seems like it could easily be a staple piece or a statement piece.
The highlight of her online shop and clothing stores, located in both New York and Brooklyn, is the fact that she offers a series of “Built by You Patterns.” These patterns allow any sewing inclined guy or gal to make their very own clothing creations.
Not a big sewer? No problem. Built by Wendy also offers two different “Sew U” books that offer a “step-by step guide to basic sewing and pattern-making [and] how to design and customize your own clothing.” Amazing!
