The 'ThynkBot' is a miniature robot toy that responds to straightforward, directional commands generated by your brain waves. While the technology may seem complex, the robot is easy enough for even children to use.
The device operates by using your phone as a receiver and an EEG headband as a reader. Your phone and the headband are then connected to the robot via Bluetooth. To operate the robot, you must think about straightforward commands such as 'turn right' or 'turn left.' These raw signals given off by your brain waves are then translated into words through the EEG headset and your mobile phone. If you are distracted or lose focus, the robot will respond with an audible cry of distress. When you refocus your attention, the robot will express its excitement.
The designers of the ThynkBot are currently running a Kickstarter campaign and those who back the project will be able to pre-order their own brainwave-controlled robot.
