WhistlePig Whiskey Introduces the Boss Hog XII

— November 15, 2025 — Lifestyle
WhistlePig Whiskey has introduced the twelfth edition of its Boss Hog series. Titled Boss Hog XII: Feather & Flame, the expression draws its creative inspiration from Mexican cultural history.

This limited-production rye whiskey undergoes an initial aging process in new American Oak barrels before being transferred for a final maturation period into a novel type of cask seasoned with a blend of pulque, an agave-derived fermented beverage, cacao, and a combination of three indigenous peppers. This finishing step represents an innovation in whiskey production, as it aims to impart flavors associated with traditional Aztec xocolatl, a spicy cocoa drink.

The Boss Hog XII: Feather & Flame is being distributed through select hospitality venues and premium liquor retailers, as well as via the distillery's own digital storefront.
