The Bosch Powertube 500 Hides Its Battery in a Sleek Way

The Bosch PowerTube 500 is a perfect example of how eBike designs are evolving at a rapid rate and are beginning to look more like traditional bicycles. This evolution of design has not come easy, as many manufacturers have not yet found ways to integrate bulky battery packs onto frames without throwing off balance and geometry. This is where the Bosch PowerTube 500 comes in, as the eBike was purpose-built to integrate the battery pack directly onto the frame of the bike.

The battery on this eBike is built to slide directly into the frame of the bike and is almost completely invisible to the outside observer. The implementation of this battery system allows the bike to remain balanced and stable, but still gives the bike 500 watt-hours of energy. The battery can easily be removed from the bike for charging or swapping out, but the Bosch PowerTube 500 also gives riders the ability to charge the battery while it is integrated into the bike.
