Australian start-up Who Gives A Crap specializes in the creation of eco-friendly toilet paper and its newest product ventures beyond its signature offerings to introduce a limited-edition run of fair trade coffee dubbed Blend No. 2.
The medium roast coffee is said to have notes of ripe and juicy apple, as well as dark chocolate, and it can be found in compostable packaging. The product comes in an eye-catching bundle that includes not only a 500-gram bag of coffee but also a roll of toilet paper that's plastic-free, biodegradable and compostable.
Since its inception, the start-up has made a point to donate half of its profits to improve sanitation and hygiene in underprivileged communities around the world. As founder Simon Griffiths told SmartCompany, "We’ve heard from reliable sources that coffee makes some people need to go to the bathroom. As a toilet paper business, we found that pretty interesting. After all, the more toilet paper people use, the more we can donate to the billions of people living without safe access to a toilet."
