The Blast Moonstruck Rose Gold is Ulysse Nardin's latest limited-edition astronomical timepiece, produced in a run of 20 pieces. Housed in a 45mm case combining 18k rose gold with black DLC-treated titanium, the watch presents a geocentric display of the Earth, Sun and Moon across a black aventurine dial. Five astronomical indications include a high-precision moonphase accurate for 40.3 years, lunar month display, tidal coefficients, a worldtimer and real-time solar and lunar positioning, while a three-dimensional Northern Hemisphere display is suspended beneath a domed sapphire crystal.
Powering the watch is the in-house automatic Calibre UN-106, a movement built with 338 components and equipped with a silicon escapement and hairspring produced by SIGATEC. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, it delivers a 50-hour power reserve and incorporates a patented mechanism that allows local time to be adjusted in one-hour increments without affecting the astronomical displays. Limited to 20 examples, the timepiece is priced at $116,000 USD.
