Bisu Secures $3M in Funding for Its "Home Health Lab" Solution

Japanese health and wellness startup Bisu, known for its innovative "lab-on-a-chip" home testing device, has raised $3.2 million in a recent seed funding round. According to the company, the new funding will go towards developing 'Bisu Body Coach' -- a one-of-kind AI-enabled health and fitness coach described by the company as a "home health lab."

More specifically, the Bisu Body Coach will utilize disposable urine and saliva test sticks that users can sync to an accompanying app in order to receive real-time nutrition and lifestyle advice. What makes Bisu's product stand out, however, is that it is able to deliver test results in as little as two minutes thanks to its unique microfluidic technology.

"This funding is a major vote of confidence from a group of investors who are both tech-savvy, consumer-focused and globally minded," said Daniel Maggs, Bisu co-founder and CEO.
