Billion dollar ideas don't need to super complicated technological advancements like cars and smartphones.

According to this interesting infographic from Grow America, some of the most successful household brand names started with just a simple idea and some know how. The infographic details the rise of such well known products like Kellogg's cereals, Kleenex, Post-it Notes, Band-Aids and the Slinky. What do all these ideas have in common? Simplicity. None of these products involve intricate microprocessors, complex designs or even high manufacturing costs. It's really interesting to see the stories behind these companies and how they went about marketing and creating their billion dollar ideas.

Grow America's infographic serves an under served market that perhaps needs to go back to some some simpler ideas. A billion dollar could very well be the one of the simplest you've ever had.
