Bernadette Pascua's pencil and watercolor illustrations showcase the latest from designers like Miu Miu and Celine on paper. The designs put out by these international fashion houses are usually delivered to the public in the form of photo shoots. Pascua's work has reinterpreted this norm.
The New York-based artist originally studied textiles. After completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Fashion Institute of Technology, she returned to her passion for drawing. Her exposure to various high end designers as a student shaped her hand made prints, leading in part to her publication in W, Vogue and Glamour.
Pascua's images display seasonal pieces in an almost theatrical manner, showcasing the many ways in which women often envision themselves within couture apparel.
