Using augmented reality technology, this app allows you to travel back in time and see what the Berlin Wall was really like. Metaio and Timetraveler Augmented collaborated to launch the Timetraveler application for smartphones and tablets.
This combination of new technologies and history offers an exciting new educational tool. The app allows users to see historical content in the area surrounding the Berlin Wall and about the wall itself. To tell the story of the Wall and its impact on Germany, video footage, site reconstructions and anecdotes about the Cold War are used. It also offers GPS tours of of 11 different historical sites along the Berlin Wall Memorial on Bernauer Strasse.
The Timetraveler app is compatible with both iOS and Android.
