The Bang & Olufsen Beosound Haven installation introduces a landscape speaker presented within a constructed stone environment at Milan Design Week 2026. The Bang & Olufsen Beosound Haven is displayed as a spherical aluminium speaker positioned on a quartzite plinth, surrounded by water, greenery, and reflective surfaces. The installation is staged at Antolini’s MilanoDuomo Stoneroom, where Taj Mahal quartzite is used across floors and walls to frame the speaker within a continuous mineral setting.
The setup integrates sound with material elements through spatial composition rather than isolated product display. A central water surface produces ripples that interact with ambient sound, while stone textures and controlled lighting define the environment around the speaker. The Beosound Haven is developed as an outdoor system designed to sit within natural surroundings, with its aluminium structure and placement intended to align with architectural and landscape elements.

Trend Themes
-
Material-integrated Audio Installations — Embedding speakers into stone, water, and landscaping points toward products that blur the boundary between audio hardware and built materials, enabling seamless site-specific sound systems.
-
Experiential Acoustic Environments — Multi-sensory staging where ripple-producing water and controlled lighting interact with sound suggests immersive soundscapes that prioritize atmosphere over standalone product demonstrations.
-
Sculptural Consumer Electronics — Design-forward, object-like speakers positioned as architectural elements indicate a shift toward electronics conceived as permanent aesthetic fixtures rather than transient gadgets.
Industry Implications
-
High-end Audio — Premium audio brands stand to redefine product value by offering integrated acoustic solutions tailored to specific materials and outdoor settings.
-
Luxury Hospitality and Landscape Design — Boutique hotels and curated outdoor venues could leverage built-in soundscapes and stone installations to create signature guest experiences tied to place and design.
-
Architectural Materials and Stone Fabrication — Stone suppliers and fabricators may expand into acoustic-integrated surfaces and modular plinth systems that carry both functional electronics and sculptural presence.
