Bang & Olufsen Unveiled the Beolab 90 Mirage Edition
References: bang-olufsen
The Beolab 90 Mirage Edition is a limited version of Bang & Olufsen’s flagship loudspeaker produced as part of the brand’s centenary Atelier program. Only ten pairs were made, each finished with hand-anodized aluminum panels that create gradual color transitions across the speaker’s many angled surfaces. The shifting appearance results from light interacting with the anodized metal rather than applied coatings or printed finishes. Color tones change as viewers move around the speaker and as lighting conditions vary. Textile panels are integrated alongside the aluminum surfaces to maintain acoustic transparency while preserving the exterior geometry of the original model.
The speaker retains the technical architecture of the standard Beolab 90, including multiple drivers distributed around the cabinet and digitally controlled beam width and direction. Active amplification and room compensation systems are built into the enclosure. Internal components, dimensions, and acoustic performance specifications remain unchanged from the standard production model. Each unit is assembled and finished by hand and individually numbered as part of the limited production run.
