Repurposed Vintage Workwear

bentgableknits Reimagines Silhouettes from Carhartt WIP

Rising Canadian fashion label bentgablenits launches a new collection of upcycled designs in collaboration with Carhartt. The main focus surrounds vintage workwear silhouettes as the upcoming capsule highlights durability and comfort above all else. The familiar silhouettes include the Detroit Jacket as well as the Carpenter Pants rooted in its heavy duty construction.

It boasts an impressive 12 ounce cotton canvas complete with triple stitched seams. To highlight the environmental issues that comes with the fashion industry, bentgablenits carefully hand applies the details. This include velvet logos, sequins, rhinestones, velour, oya crochet florals, and cowboy graphic patchwork. The application of the matching velvet is to celebrate the organic distressing from natural wear over time, showcasing that that type of fade cannot be manufactured.
