'Robot Factory,' the Venice-based 3D printing technology company, has debuted the 'Desktop Injection Molding' 3D printer. This 3D printer is capable of printing various plastic materials, such as polyethylene, polystyrene, and polypropylene. The machine is capable of accurate plastic molding, even down to fine details.
This Italian-made 3D printer makes quick prototype molds and quick prototype printed parts for use in projects more accessible to businesses. Rather than needing to place an order with a commercial mold maker or small parts maker, owners of the Desktop Injection Molding 3D printer will be able to make their own products on demand.
The printer boasts a 32 cubic centimeter chamber capacity and a maximum operating temperature of 350 degrees celsius, meaning it gets hot enough to quickly and efficiently inject plastic materials.
