A Louisville-based bakeshop is currently selling beer made from donuts and other sweet ingredients. Partially inspired by Homer Simpson's iconic love of beer and donuts, Hi-Five Doughnuts has come up with the ultimate form of indulgence.

According to a news release from Hi-Five Doughnuts, the shop has come up with a delicious new creation that they are calling 'Mmm…D’oh! Nuts.' The beer was made by adding Hi-Five Doughnuts and a gallon of vanilla glaze to the beer mixture during the brewing process. The lactose and the brown sugar found in the sweet pastries give the beer a sweet, vanilla flavor that perfectly complements the smoky brew.

While the idea of beer made from donuts may sound unusual, the tasty creation is indicative of a growing demand for hybrid food and beverages.
