Readers won’t want to cross paths with the subjects in these Becky Cloonan illustrations. After all, many of them have killer glares and are, in fact, in the middle of or just finishing attacking their victims. Couple that with the occult elements surrounding each assailant and you have character renderings that are sure to unnerve even the brave.

Becky Cloonan is a comic book illustrator and award-winning cartoonist. As you can tell from these images, she specializes in drawing pictures for dark narratives. Almost every one of her renderings employs heavy use of shadows, which sets the atmosphere well for her disturbing depictions.

Her latest comic book is a retelling of the original Dracula story by Bram Stoker. No doubt the vampire tale will lend itself well to Cloonan’s art style.
