Ever stood in line for your morning coffee and thought, this would taste better if there was an image of me on top of it? Well, the Barista Bot is about to make your dreams come true.
Unveiled to the world as part of a publicity stunt at this year's SXSW festival in Texas, the Barista Bot was masterminded by NYC-based designers Hypersonic, in collaboration with Rock Paper Robot. Creators Jamie Zigelbaum and Kyle McDonald say they wanted to "take a common experience and make it interactive and fun."
The sassy Barista Bot works by analyzing customers facial features in real time as they line up for their caffeine buzz. This is a lighthearted way to get people involved in the science behind robots and technology.
