When it's merely a subtle suggestion, design inspired by animal anatomy has the potential to be very endearing. The Bambi table proves this point quite impressively in the way that its four shaky legs resemble those of a bumbling baby deer.
Designer Caroline Olsson infused this piece of furniture with fetching animated life in composing it so that its posture can adapt and assume intriguing positions during every step of its transformation. Perhaps beginning as a kneeling coffee table poised like a foal on bent all-fours, this engaging object can gradually rise up, one leg at a time, straightening each knee-like joint as it regains stability. Once all limbs of the Bambi table are locked into place, it can function as a steady kitchen table.
