The conceptual 'AWA' home heater is a powerful piece of equipment for the home that would provide a more efficient way to warm up the space using the power of hydrogen.
The heater works by having H2O added into the reservoir and uses the power of electrolysis to create warmth that is then dispersed into the space through the top. The bottom portion of the compact appliance will work to draw in cool air and heat up a space far quicker and more efficiently than existing alternatives. This could result in up to 70% energy savings, 62% heating efficiency and a stove that is 40% more efficient than other options.
The 'AWA' home heater is the design work of Lucia de Cabo, Sofia Fratichelli, Tomas Planas and Gonzalo Rossi of the University of Buenos Aires.
