A&W Canada Releases Three New Veggie Burgers for Plant-Based Customers

— June 16, 2025 — Lifestyle
A&W Canada is expanding its vegetarian offerings with three delicious options now available at restaurants across the country.

Back by popular demand, the Masala Veggie Burger and Spicy Piri-Piri Potato Buddy Burger—originally limited-time items in 2024—are now permanent fixtures, inspired by the bold, spicy flavours loved by South Asian Canadian communities. These new mains, which will be sold at participating A&W locations (except Quebec), also build upon the chain's reputation for offering diverse non-meat options.

The Masala Veggie Burger features a crispy Nanak paneer and veggie patty, layered with piri-piri sauce, fresh vegetables, and a toasted seeded bun. The Crispy Veggie Burger offers a milder twist with mayo instead of spice. Rounding out the trio is the Spicy Piri-Piri Potato Buddy Burger, built around a crispy hash brown patty and vibrant toppings.
