Automated Brain Stimulation Monitoring

Ampa Introduces Target Lock for Precise TMS Treatments

Ampa is introducing automated brain stimulation monitoring through Target Lock, a new feature for its Ampa One system that helps clinicians maintain accurate coil placement during treatment. The technology automatically pauses stimulation when the coil shifts beyond its designated position, reducing reliance on manual observation during sessions.

Target Lock combines an integrated camera with Ampa's Neuronavigation Cap to track coil movement and provide immediate positioning feedback. Operators can use these alerts to realign the device before continuing treatment. Ampa One is FDA-cleared for treating major depressive disorder in adults who have not responded adequately to previous antidepressant medication.

For healthcare providers, the feature supports more consistent treatment delivery while simplifying clinical workflows. Ampa's monthly subscription model, which eliminates upfront equipment purchases and individual treatment fees, also offers clinics a way to expand brain stimulation services while managing operational expenses.
