Since fiddling with keys can be such a nuisance, the August Smart Lock is stepping in to make things much more convenient and secure. It is a high-tech door locker that is controlled via people's smartphones. The August Smart Lock is a great alternative when taking into consideration that losing keys and forgetting key codes can be just as frequent.
Designed by celebrated designer Yves Béhar, the August Smart Lock essentially re-thinks home security. It works with existing bolt locks to let users have both keyless and keyed access. Through an accompanying app and Bluetooth LE, it also allows people to send virtual keys to anyone who requires entry when they're not there. The app then alerts them to when the guests have arrived and departed.
