This Audi Clock Embodies the Aesthetics and Tech of the Vehicle Brand's Design

At the 2014 Audi Design Challenge in Seoul, Korea, this Audi clock was a winner. Conceived by Pilkwon Jung and Jaehyuk Lee, the futuristic-looking wall clock was created with direct inspiration from the design of the company's automobiles, "mirroring Audi’s delicate details and its technical philosophy."

The Audi Timepiece has a face that resembles elements of a car's dashboard, such as the speedometer and adjacent dials and scales. The suspending pendulum is a single circle, seemingly pulled from the four-ringed logo of the brand. It fixes to a wall, yet it's also supported by a trombone-like U bar that touches the floor, giving it the form of a contemporary grandfather clock.

Between polished metal material and the illuminating points that indicate the hour, the Audi clock serves as an example and an opportunity for companies to manufacture outside of their specialty.
