While Water-Gen is not the first company to capitalize on this technology, their units are more energy efficient because they recycle the cool air produced from converting water vapors to create liquid. This socially conscious gadget makes hundreds of gallons of water, literally out of thin air.

Water-Gen is currently selling their atmospheric water generators to a number of countries. Presently their main use is in the military. It could be a while before their portable products are available to the average consumer, but this could have future implications in relation to the water crisis and the many developing countries whose clean water supply is dwindling.
