The Atieva Edna may be a minivan, and an electric powered one to boot, but that fact doesn't hold it back. With 900 horsepower under the hood, the Atieva Edna is faster than most other electric vehicles available to consumers, including sports cars like the Ferrari California T, the Tesla Model S, the BMW i8 and the Dodge Viper.
The Atieva Edna team designed the electric van using the chassis of a Mercedes-Benz Metris. However, they chose to make adjustments to the powertrain and swap out the engine for two electric motors and a 87 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The result is a speedy machine that clocks a 0 - 60 time of 2.94 seconds and an 11.3 second quarter mile time.
