While some find it enjoyable, others believe that assembling IKEA furniture is both tedious and time consuming, which is why the furniture brand is now offering consumers the opportunity to hire an professional to assemble furniture after purchasing it.
This experience is made possible through IKEA's partnership with TaskRabbit, a company which the furniture brand bought back in September of 2017. To use the service, consumers simply request a time to have a TaskRabbit employee to come to their home to set up their items. Prices for this service start at $36, with increases based on the size and complexity of the item.
IKEA's assembly service hopes to further convenience the consumer who may be skeptical of purchasing IKEA furniture.
