Artist Ash Stephens has reinvented the traditional Tibetan bowl used for meditation, turning it into a modern instrument. The bowl is meant to sit in someone's hand while meditating, being gently rubbed so that users can be soothed with the vibrations.
The difference with this design is the mechanical features that have been added. Instead of a user being the person that turns the bowl in circles, a mechanism does this automatically so that individuals can focus more on the meditation at hand. Moreover the Singing Bowl (as it's so artfully called), is made from brass material, giving it a rustic and authentic look.
