Although candid, documentary-style photography is pretty popular right now, it is pretty insane to see someone like Asger Clarsen turn that style on its head. As you browse through his portfolio for the first time, you may miss some of the surreal details in the more subtle captures, but as you persist you will realize that you are witnessing something very unique.
From morphed human bodies to bulging eyes and bionic limbs, Asger Clarsen lets his often morbid and twisted mind run its course. I love that all of his photos are shot in black and white with a filmlike quality that makes them seem as though he really saw these scenarios in person. Of course, as authentic as Asger Clarsen's work might seem, we know better than to believe it.
