The use of concrete in this art sculpture entitled 'As Yet Untitled' by Anish Kapoor is creative, yet slightly disturbing. Concrete is usually made to create sidewalks and building structures, but Kapoor has something else in mind.
These sculptures were part of the Indian artist's first solo exhibition at the Gladstone Gallery in New York. It's a cluster of towers made with concrete that looks as if it slowly dripped from a machine to create a coiling clumpy texture. The work is deliberately left looking messy and is intended for viewers to interpret; it explores the changing nature of material through shapes and textures.
Kapoor is known for his simple yet dramatic creations and 'As Yet Untitled' is certainly one of them.
