There have been hundreds of children who have been accidentally killed via gun shots between 2007 and 2011 according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, so the Artemis Gun Case has been designed by Wayne Jones as a means of preventing young ones from accessing firearms in their homes. Lightweight and designed to fit a handgun, the Artemis Gun Case is crafted from polycarbonate plastic and is designed to only open when the registered fingerprint of the owner is placed on the scanner.
Currently available for pre-order for $79, the Artemis Gun Case is being developed by Jones and students at Brigham Young University, with hopes of launching an Indiegogo campaign in the near future.
