ARTAQ 2013 by Mademoiselle Maurice, a French artist based in Paris, France, is a new series of work for the annual festival. Brightening up the streets of Angers, France, as if they were an open air museum, the stunning origami graffiti is as captivating as the 28 year old's past work. Decorating walls, stairs and doorways, one of the pieces is a portrait of a laughing person while the others are much more abstract.
Made up of over 30,000 folded paper components, ARTAQ 2013 by Mademoiselle Maurice was created with the help of school children and people living in nearby leisure centers. Not to mention that there were hundreds of additional volunteers on-hand to help cover a stairwell leading to Montée St-Maurice. The works were completed on the last day of May.
