'Artfinder' Uses Artificial Intelligence to Match Users to Works of Art
Laura McQuarrie — October 4, 2017 — Art & Design
'Artfinder' is an online art marketplace that sets itself apart from others by using artificial intelligence to pair its users to the perfect works of art for their tastes.
In the same way that one would be able to show an art expert an image that captures the color palette, mood and composition of a desired piece of art, Artfinder's Emma is a Twitter bot that is able to make the same kind of recommendations. Emma is branded as Artfinder's "AI curator" and interacts with users on Twitter to make suggestions for works of art that may make the perfect addition to one's home.
From art exhibits curated by AI at the Tate Modern to AI awards jury judges, the entire world of art is being disrupted by artificial intelligence technology.
